The government of Canada is providing homeowners grants of up to $5000 to recoup costs of retrofitting their homes to be more energy efficient. The eligible retrofits include home insulation, windows and doors, air sealing, and mechanical and renewable energy systems.
In addition to the retrofit rebates, interest-free loans of up to $40,000 are being offered in order to support the green initiative – saving homeowners money, reducing carbon footprints, and creating new jobs across Canada. That’s a win-win-win!
